What is a Life Group?

Life Groups are closed (also known as established) small groups that meet in someone’s home for building authentic relationships and spiritual growth. We believe sustained life change happens best in the context of Life Groups.  In Life Groups, people study God’s Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life.  It is also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they are absent for any reason. They are for adults of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity.

Why are groups closed?

A closed/established group is a group comprised of the same people who meet consistently over a period of time.  Since people are encouraged not to group-hop, this allows the group to go beyond surface relationships to develop intimate relationships with other believers.

Why should someone be a part of a Life Group?

We believe intentional relationships are a key to sustained spiritual growth.  That’s why small groups are such an important part of our discipleship strategy. Life Groups allow believers to grow closer to one another and develop friendships with others at Antioch Church.  Participating in Life Groups not only unites people together, but also fosters spiritual growth. We place a high premium on Life Groups because we cannot personally as a staff, minister to everyone who attends our church. It is a tool to minister effectively to our church family.
